To survey the works in service of design, planning, construction and management of civil, industrial, underground and hydro works;
To survey, to establish the topographical maps in large scale; to adjust the topographical maps and to survey the river-bottom, lake, seabed topographical maps;
To establish maps, political boundary documents, administrative maps at different degrees; to establish different kinds of special maps;
To create the database of the Land Information Systems (LIS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS);
To give consultation, service in the fields of mapping, land and environment management. To check and to test surveying instrument;
To establish the planning and the plan of land use;
To investigate, to appreciate action upon environment; to apply the scientific and technological progress on prevention pollution , breakdown of environment and improve environmet;
To research, to apply and to hand over the scientific and technical progress and the new technology in the field of mapping, land and environment management;
To training, to foster technician in surveying and mapping in service of the business production.
